GoHighLevel API and integrations: native apps, Marketplace, Zapier and webhooks

Quick answer

GoHighLevel connects to other tools in four layers: about 44 native integrations in each sub-account (Shopify, QuickBooks, Xero, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Google, Facebook and more), an App Marketplace with around 2,000 apps, webhooks and middleware such as Zapier or n8n, and a REST API v2 for developers (100 requests per 10 seconds, 200,000 per day).

Counts checked inside a live agency account; API limits from the official developer documentation.

The most expensive integration mistake in HighLevel is paying for something the platform already does. We see it all the time: an agency pays Zapier every month to send Shopify orders into the CRM, when Shopify is a native integration that takes two minutes to connect.

This page is written from inside a live agency account. It shows what connects natively, what lives in the Marketplace, when a webhook is enough and what a developer needs to know about the API.

The four layers of GoHighLevel integrations: native integrations, App Marketplace, webhooks and middleware, and API v2 limits

Native integrations: start here

Inside any sub-account, Settings → Integrations lists around 44 native connections, each with a Connect button. No middleware and no per-task fee. They are set up per sub-account, not once for the whole agency.

Vertical tools Clio (legal), Housecall Pro (field service), Canva (design)

Ad lead forms need a second step: map the fields under Facebook, TikTok or LinkedIn Form Fields Mapping before launching the campaign. Leads captured before mapping keep the blank fields.

The App Marketplace

The Marketplace sits in the agency sidebar. When we checked it listed about 2,030 apps, organized into All Apps, Installed Apps, App Reselling, AI Agents and Templates. With that many options, the filters matter: Business Niche surfaces tools built for dental, legal, fitness and other verticals.

Most-installed apps Installs What it does
Pabbly Connect 245.2K Automation platform, a cheaper alternative to Zapier
Create Assistants Hybrid-Agents 126.8K No-code voice and chat AI agents
Canva 79.5K Design, built by LeadConnector, HighLevel’s own brand
WAVV Dialer 73.7K Multi-line dialer inside HighLevel
Consolidata 69.9K Client-facing marketing dashboards

The WL badge

Apps marked WL support white label. If you resell HighLevel under your brand, filter for them first so another company’s name does not show up inside your software.

App Reselling

Agencies can resell Marketplace apps to their sub-accounts and track the revenue in the Earnings tab. See white label and SaaS Mode.

Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook?

When there is no native connection, do not jump straight to a paid automation. A workflow can send a webhook as an action, and that one step often replaces a monthly Zapier task.

Option Best for Trade-off
Workflow webhook Sending HighLevel data to any app or script Needs an endpoint on the other side
Zapier Fastest setup, largest app catalogue Per-task cost grows with volume
Pabbly Connect Installed from the Marketplace, flatter pricing Smaller catalogue than Zapier
Make Visual branching and complex transformations Steeper learning curve
n8n Self-hosted, cheapest at high volume You maintain the server

The HighLevel API for developers

API v2REST API documented at marketplace.gohighlevel.com/docs. API v1 reached end of support on December 31, 2025.
Access by planStarter and Unlimited: basic access with sub-account level tokens. Agency Pro: advanced access, including agency-level keys.
Private IntegrationsSettings → Private Integrations generates scoped tokens for your own scripts and internal tools.
OAuth 2.0For public Marketplace apps that need users to authorize access across many sub-accounts.
Rate limits100 requests every 10 seconds and 200,000 per day, per app and per sub-account or agency.
WebhooksReal-time events for contacts, opportunities, appointments and more, so you do not have to poll the API.

Treat Private Integration tokens like passwords: give them the minimum scopes, rotate them when someone leaves the team and check Audit Logs in Settings.

How to choose without overbuilding

  1. Check native first. Open Settings → Integrations and the Business Services menu (email, phone, WhatsApp, calendars) before buying anything.
  2. Search the Marketplace second. Filter by Business Niche and sort by installs.
  3. Try a webhook third. One workflow action often removes the need for a paid connector.
  4. Only then pay for middleware. Pick Zapier, Make, n8n or Pabbly by your monthly task volume, not by the sticker price.

One honest gap: ActiveCampaign is not in the native list, so moving from it means a middleware bridge or a migration. Our ActiveCampaign and GoHighLevel guide covers both.

Frequently asked questions

Does GoHighLevel have an API?

Yes. HighLevel has a REST API (v2) with OAuth 2.0 for Marketplace apps and Private Integration tokens for your own scripts, plus webhooks for real-time events. Starter and Unlimited include basic API access at the sub-account level; Agency Pro adds advanced access with agency-level keys. API v1 reached end of support on December 31, 2025.

What are the GoHighLevel API rate limits?

100 requests every 10 seconds and 200,000 requests per day, counted per Marketplace app and per resource (each sub-account or agency). Every response includes headers with the remaining requests, so your code can slow down before hitting the limit.

Where is the GoHighLevel API documentation?

The official API v2 documentation lives at marketplace.gohighlevel.com/docs, with endpoints, scopes, webhooks and rate limits. The help center explains access by plan and how Private Integrations work.

Does GoHighLevel integrate with Zapier?

Yes, but check the native list first. Around 44 integrations, including Shopify, QuickBooks, HubSpot and Klaviyo, connect directly without Zapier. For the rest, Zapier, Make, n8n and Pabbly Connect all work.

How many apps are in the GoHighLevel App Marketplace?

When we checked inside a live agency account it listed about 2,030 apps, filterable by category, business niche, pricing and developer. Apps with the WL badge can be white-labeled.

Why are my Facebook leads missing information?

Connecting the ad account is only half the setup. You also need to map the fields under Facebook Form Fields Mapping in Integrations, and leads captured before mapping are not filled in afterwards.
