Leer en español: Email marketing con GoHighLevel · Ler em português: E-mail marketing no GoHighLevel · Part of all GoHighLevel features
GoHighLevel email marketing includes a drag-and-drop builder, templates, segmentation with smart lists, A/B testing of up to six variations, automations and campaign statistics on every plan, with unlimited contacts. Sending through LC Email costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails, and bulk SMS works through the same system at $0.00747 per segment in the US. A dedicated, authenticated sending domain is the key to deliverability.

An online store with 20,000 subscribers was paying a few hundred dollars a month for its email tool, plus a separate SMS app, plus a CRM that did not talk to either. In GoHighLevel the same list costs about $13.50 per full send, and the email, the SMS and the purchase history sit on the same contact.
That is the case for GoHighLevel email marketing: not a fancier editor, but one system where messages, data and automations work together and you do not pay per subscriber. This guide covers setup, deliverability, building and testing campaigns, SMS and what it all costs.
What is included
Deliverability: set up your sending domain first
- Use a dedicated sending domain. For example mail.yourbrand.com. Shared domains work for testing; dedicated domains are what reach the inbox.
- Authenticate it. Add the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records HighLevel gives you and wait until the domain is verified.
- Warm it up. Start with your most engaged contacts and increase volume gradually; HighLevel shows the warm-up status.
- Validate old lists. Email validation ($2.50 per 1,000) removes invalid addresses before they bounce.
- Keep sender and domain aligned. The sender email must match the dedicated domain; mismatches can block or flag the send.
With several dedicated domains you can choose one per campaign or rotate across all verified, warmed domains. A dedicated IP ($59/month) is only worth it for high, consistent volume.

Five campaigns to start with
- Welcome sequence. Three to five emails over two weeks for every new subscriber.
- Monthly newsletter. One useful idea, one offer, one call to action.
- Abandoned booking or cart. A reminder by email and SMS when someone starts but does not finish.
- Reactivation. A short campaign to contacts with no activity in 90 days.
- Review and referral. After the purchase or service. Reputation management.
Dedicated sending IP: when it makes sense and what it costs
By default LC Email sends from shared IPs managed by HighLevel. A dedicated IP puts your reputation in your own hands, which helps only if you send a lot.
If you send a weekly newsletter to 8,000 people, stay on the shared pool and invest in list hygiene instead. A dedicated IP with low volume has no reputation to protect and can do worse than the shared pool.

Frequently asked questions
How much does email marketing cost in GoHighLevel?
The builder and contacts are included in every plan, with no price per subscriber. Sending through LC Email costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails, email validation $2.50 per 1,000 and a dedicated IP $59 per month on Unlimited or Agency Pro. You can also connect your own SMTP provider.
Can GoHighLevel replace Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign?
For most small businesses and agencies, yes: campaigns, templates, segmentation, A/B testing, automations and statistics are included, and the contacts live in the same CRM as your pipeline and calendar. Very large senders may still prefer a dedicated platform for advanced deliverability tooling.
Does GoHighLevel support A/B testing for emails?
Yes. You can test the subject line or the content (not both in one campaign) with up to six variations. The winner is chosen by unique open rate or unique click rate and sent to the rest of the list.
Do I need a dedicated sending domain?
It is strongly recommended. With a dedicated domain authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC and warmed up gradually, your emails are far more likely to reach the inbox. Campaigns cannot send from an unverified domain.
Can I send SMS campaigns in GoHighLevel?
Yes. Bulk SMS and SMS sequences work through LC Phone at $0.00747 per segment in the US and Canada plus carrier fees, after A2P 10DLC registration. Phone and SMS.
Is there AI for writing emails?
Yes. Email AI helps write and improve emails inside the builder for free under fair use, and an Email Campaign Agent is in beta.
