Cookie Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026. This page lists the cookies that can be set when you visit ghl.software, who sets them and what they do. It also explains how to block them, since the site doesn’t currently show a cookie consent banner.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website, or a service embedded in it, stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages or visits, such as whether you’ve been here before. Similar technologies, like device identifiers used by ad networks, work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too. Some cookies last only while your browser is open (session cookies); others stay for a set time (persistent cookies). Each provider decides how long its own cookies last.
Some cookies are set by ghl.software itself (“first-party”). Others are set by the companies whose services we use, such as Google, YouTube and Vimeo (“third-party”). Third-party cookies are controlled by those companies under their own policies, not by us.
We don’t use cookies to identify you by name. Most of them work with pseudonymous identifiers, but some, especially advertising cookies, can be used by the provider to build a profile across different websites.
Cookies used on ghl.software
| Provider | Cookies | Category | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | _ga, _ga_YV727T7RFK | Analytics | Distinguish visitors and sessions so we can measure traffic and see which pages are useful. |
| Google AdSense | Set by Google (names vary, e.g. __gads, __gpi) | Advertising | Show and measure ads, limit repetition and prevent fraud; ads may be personalized depending on your Google settings. |
| Vimeo | Set by Vimeo when a video loads or plays | Functional / analytics | Play the embedded video, remember player settings and measure viewing. |
| WordPress (comments) | comment_author_*, comment_author_email_*, comment_author_url_* | Functional | Only if you tick the box to save your details, so you don’t retype them next time. |
| WordPress (administrators) | wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | Strictly necessary | Log-in and security for site administrators only; regular visitors don’t get them. |
Affiliate cookies. When you click a GoHighLevel link with ?fp_ref=makro, HighLevel and its affiliate platform FirstPromoter may set cookies on their own domains to credit the referral. ghl.software doesn’t set or read them; see HighLevel’s privacy policy and FirstPromoter’s privacy policy.
The exact names and lifetimes of third-party cookies are decided by each provider and can change without notice. The links on this page lead to their current documentation.
How to control cookies
Because there is no consent banner today, these are the most effective ways to decide which cookies you accept:
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block all or third-party cookies and delete the ones already stored. Look under Privacy or Security in your browser’s settings.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop your visits from being measured on any site.
- Google ads. Turn off ad personalization in Google ad settings and read how Google uses information from partner sites.
- Vimeo. Vimeo and YouTube cookies only appear on pages with an embedded video; Vimeo’s privacy page explains its options.
You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which deletes cookies when you close it. Blocking or deleting cookies won’t stop you from reading the site, although embedded videos may not play and the comment form won’t remember your details.
